This product is a tiny version of Maybelline’s Clear Smooth powder foundation, which retails for about P249. If you’re not sure about buying the whole compact, you could try this first, like I did. It’s so small and cute! You could easily slip it into your jeans pocket.
It even comes with a puff and a mirror, although both are too small. You could use the mirror to look at specific areas of your face one at a time, while the puff is best used for retouching, but I prefer using a powder brush.
The texture is lightweight and not too opaque. If you have clear skin, just a dusting of this powder all over the face will do. I, however, use it as a setting and retouching powder because of my oily skin. It gives a matte finish and true to its claim, it doesn’t get cakey–unless you really pile it on. It controls oil slightly better than face powders, but blotting sheets are still a must for me.
All in all, it’s a good setting powder because of its mattifying and oil control properties. If I decide to repurchase, I’ll still get the to-go version because I love its small size.
